STAMFORD PT
Covid-19 Response & Readiness to Serve & Protect You
We are dedicated to your health and safety. All current evidence indicates that those who are in good health, and with uncompromised immune systems, are at very low risk. Let’s all work together to use this time to learn more about how we can decrease stress and improve our individual and collective immunity.
If you’ve had COVID, and need treatment to regain your health, we can see you remotely with our telehealth sessions. Physical therapy can help with the effects of weakness, fatigue, and respiratory symptoms. Schedule a telehealth session to see how we can help you recover!
SPT is diligently monitoring reports from the CDC to ensure we have the most updated information related to protocols, initiatives and recommendations, and that we are prepared to respond quickly and effectively to keep you and our employees safe.
SPT Guidelines for In-Person Visits
Because we schedule a buffer window between appointments, it assures that only one patient is in our office at any given time to help further protect you and our therapists.
- We will wear masks, gloves, and other protective gear and are screened for COVID-19 symptoms, including a temperature check, prior to patient care.
- All patients will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms before arriving for their visit and will be given a no-touch temperature check when they come in.
- Patients are required to wear a mask, and will be asked to wash their hands in the bathroom next to the elevator before their session. Gloves are also available on request.
- HEPA air filtration units in each treatment room.
- Appointments are scheduled to allow for treatment rooms, waiting areas, and equipment to be cleaned and sanitized between patients.
- In order to enforce social distancing and allow for private one-on-one care, we ask that you arrive as close to your scheduled appointment time as possible. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your session.
- In order to limit additional time spent in the office, we ask that you utilize our credit card on file option for payment.
- Please do not bring anyone else with you to your session, unless the patient is a minor in which case they can be accompanied by an adult.
- We will continue to offer on-line Telehealth sessions for exercise guidance, ergonomics, and self–management techniques. Let us know and we can schedule you for a remote session. We will apply the same rates as our in-office sessions.
We know that this is not an easy time for anyone, but we have found strength in each other and in our community. It is our pleasure to check-in and field your emails, to help navigate TeleHealth and the return to clinic care, and to be part of your team. We look forward to seeing you soon!
